Judging a Book By Its Cover

What can a cover reveal about you?

Now that books have migrated to electronic form, the covers we choose for our e-readers and tablets can hint at our personality. Although we may like to be judged for our substance rather than our superficial features, some covers are more likely to have people jumping to conclusions.

Recycled Cheetos Bag: The Nook slips into this familiar spicy cheese stick snack bag. This reusable sleeve doesn’t require any tearing, simply zip it open and closed.

What it might reveal: I got the munchies while reading. Between the carrot sticks and the Cheetos, the veggies lost.

Ballistic Jacket: The Kindle Fire is protected from impacts by three layers of silicone, polycarbonate, and polymer.

What it might reveal: I’m a little accident prone. Just in case I drop it (yes, again), I know it will bounce right back. I hope.

Manila Envelope: The iPad can remain hidden in plain sight when stored in this sleeve.

What it might reveal: So I’m a little obsessed with envelopes. Staring at one for an hour or two has a very calming effect.

Oberon Design Covers: These hand-crafted leather and pewter cases are available with a variety of engravings.

What it might reveal: I’m cultured, sophisticated, and support American artisans.

Swivel Profolio: The handheld strap allows for horizontal and vertical viewing of iPads and Kindles.

What it might reveal: I like to spin my books round and round, wheeeeeee! Um, getting a little dizzy now.

Janine King Design Clutch: The Kindle can join forces with a wallet and lipstick in this foam-padded, water-resistant, shock-absorbent purse.

What it might reveal: I may be a bookworm, but a chic and feminine one at that.

drawCase: The iPad fits into this recycled aircraft-grade aluminum case with foam lining.  Light magnets join the top lid to the case.

What it might reveal:  I like to keep things simple and light.

Brown Leopard Case: The iPad can be propped up at three angles for easy viewing. The soft suede interior safeguards and cleans the screen.

What it might reveal: I favor big cats and would go on an adventure in the jungle.

Autograph Cover: This Nook case showcases the signatures of renown classic and contemporary authors.

What it might reveal: I may not know half of these writers, but this way it looks like I do.

TrendyDigital WaterGuard Case: The Nook doesn’t fear spills or sprinkles in this waterproof case.

What it might reveal: I like reading by the pool, splashing is welcome.

iLUV Slim Folio Cover: Fold back each of the three strips that make up the front cover to reveal the Kindle within.

What it might reveal: I’m in touch with my inner child. Peek-a-boo! Ready for a game of hide and seek?
